A new species of tree frog has been discovered in Costa Rica! Its bright green coloration contrasts greatly with a light blue vocal sac and red -brown spots on its body. It was named after Rio Celeste, the main attraction in the area, to honor Bijagua’s community- based conservation efforts. The frog inhabits a singular 8-hectare wetland, found in a reserve between Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes.
