24 reactions | On 11 November 1920, an unidentified British soldier who had been killed in Europe, was buried ‘amongst the kings’ at Westminster Abbey, in a grave that has famously become known as the ‘Tomb of the Unknown Soldier’. This Remembrance Day, we honour those who’ve given their lives for our city and country. We will never forget their courage. Later today I’ll be at the Cenotaph to represent London’s gratitude to all those who’ve kept us safe and all those who continue to protect us today.
